Repeats of the Week - July 21, 2017

Jung Yong Hwa - That Girl (feat. Loco)

CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa is back with his new solo album Do Disturb. Opposite his usual ballads, the title track, “That Girl,” is a different kind of love song featuring an upbeat, catchy chorus. Loco slides in a few times to drop some sick lines and then lets Yonghwa finish out the confident summer song.

The Night in Seokyo - Walking in the Moonlight (feat. Dawon, Lazier)

Leaning more towards K-indie than K-pop, “Walking in the Moonlight” is the most recent release from a handful of singles by soloist The Night of Seokyo. Her voice has such an airy, ethereal quality, and we're hooked by the lovely melody in the chorus. With a simple but artful MV, this song is refreshingly understated and is perfect to add to your chill playlist.

Zico - ANTI (feat. G.Soul)

This is easily one of the most powerful and thought provoking songs/music videos of the year. In "ANTI", Zico details the perils of fame in the form of a letter from an anti-fan. Zico's lyricism shines with lines like, "100 good deeds are on the sand. One error gets engraved in stone." This is one song where you need to check out the lyrics. Everything about this is haunting, from the bass line to G.Soul's soft vocals in the chorus. It also reminds us of Eminem's 2000 hit "Stan" (which we also recommend if you've never seen it).

Jay Park - YACHT (feat. Sik-K)

Does Jay Park ever take a break? We're guessing not as he's just hit us with another great track, "YACHT." The MV is pretty simply. Jay, with the help of 1 MILLION Dance Studio, dances in front of a simple white screen providing beach and ocean visuals. The coloring in the MV is as bright and fun as the song.

Pro tip: Make sure the subtitles are on. Jay writes them himself and they're hilarious.

Please subtitle our lives, Jay Park.
