Monsta X - Beautiful

To celebrate Monsta X's current world tour, we're shining a spotlight on the song their tour is titled after -- "Beautiful". This track impeccably blends hard and soft -- aggressive electronic beats and fierce rapping with smooth melodic verses and a perfectly balanced chorus. If that weren't already enough, the MV serves hard-hitting choreography along with undeniably beautiful visuals.

We'll be there tonight at their NYC show at Playstation Theater, so be sure to follow us on Twitter for live updates!

SF9 - Easy Love (Japanese Version)

Our first Japanese version of a Korean song this week is SF9's Easy Love. The Japanese version of this song is very similar to the original Korean version. Although the colors are slightly more muted (which we think relates better to the song) and we get to see a bit more choreography on display.

All too often times, Japanese versions can feel a little awkward and just slightly off from the music. One of the things we like most is how the flow of the Japanese lyrics is so similar to the Korean version. There's not much stretching of syllables or having to squeeze more into a beat, which we appreciate.

Twice - TT (Japanese Ver.)

We're loving this Japanese version of Twice's "TT", and it's just as catchy and energetic as its Korean version. The drive-in theater theme sets the retro vibe, but it's the styling and color editing of the MV that makes it really refreshing. While the Korean version had a playful Halloween theme, we're glad they went in a different direction that visualizes our idea of a perfect summer night. Excuse us while we grab our girlfriends to go find the nearest drive-in!

Sophiya - Therapy

Haven't heard of Sophiya? Neither had we! That is until this gorgeous music video popped up on YouTube earlier this week. Sophiya originally debuted in 2015 as Sophia Pae. She was the runner-up on the MBC show, "Birth of a Great Star 2" back in 2012. We couldn't find much more about her background other than that she's a South Korean singer who is originally from England.

Therapy features Sophiya's hauntingly beautiful vocals. Her voice is fitting for a softer R&B sound. And the music video is just as attractive with flowing choreo that gracefully moves between different sets. You'll definitely feel like you've had some therapy after listening to this track.

ONE - Gettin' By

Finally debuting under YG, ONE released "Gettin' By" as part of his two-track album, One Day. With the hype that usually comes with having AOMG's Cha Cha Malone as producer, we expected ONE's debut songs to be LIT. But "Gettin' By" goes the exact opposite way -- easy and cool and never tries to be anything more than what seems to be true to ONE's personality that we've seen so far. It's understated and effortless, and we can't wait to see what else is coming from ONE this year.
